Canada Groups in communities across the country. Each Group holds monthly
meetings where Leaders facilitate informal, guided discussions. During these
discussions mothers receive accurate, up-to-date and personalized breastfeeding
information and support for their role as a breastfeeding parent. In addition,
mothers are able to draw on the experience of other mothers who attend.
Linda sits on the Breastfeeding Committee of Canada as an independent expert, as a breastfeeding peer counsellor. Linda is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with communication skills development training, she offers seminars and workshops to peer support workers and health professionals and is willing to travel to other provinces and territories to lead conference sessions and one to four day workshops around breastfeeding peer counselling.Linda Romphf, IBCLCWinnipeg, MBPeers Work: A Breastfeeding Support Program
